Information for Home Games/Matches

Dear Parent/Guardian,

I would like to share with you some information for attending our home athletic events at Roselle Park High School.  Our athletic teams have worked very hard the last few weeks to get ready for the upcoming season and are excited for spectators to come cheer them on. We are asking that only family members come to the home events.

This season we are asking spectator’s to follow the following procedures. The Roselle Park School District will be adhering to Governors Murphy’s executive order of 500 spectators.

General Procedures

~Please do not attend an athletic event if you are feeling ill.

~Please wear a mask at all times.

~Please adhere to all social distancing guidelines while attending the event.

~Family members may sit together.

~Please leave the complex once the event is over.

Failure to comply with the procedures will result in removal from the event.

~Please sit in the grove area behind the tennis courts using social distance guidelines of 6 feet apart.

Football Games

Tickets for varsity football games will not be available at the gate for the general public.  Tickets are limited to participant’s family members only.   1 ticket allowing 2 family member’s entrance into the game will be provided for home games for each participant’s family members only.  Tickets will be given out to your child the Wednesday before the game.  The tickets will be given to your child after practice for them to bring home to you. There will be no charge for the tickets this season.  If you are unable to use your ticket that week please do not have your child take one.  Family members must come together when entering the game.  Any special situations where the family members are unable to come together please email me at to accommodate the situation.

Extra bleachers were placed around the stadium field.  You may sit in the extra bleachers.  Extra bleachers are located by the flag pole and the JV softball field.

To adhere to social distancing rules you are not guaranteed a seat in the bleachers but will be able to enter the game and find a painted area to view the game.

No tickets needed for scrimmages or sub varsity games.

~Please sit in the section of the bleachers that is NOT marked with an “X”.

~Please sit in painted box areas in the grass around the field. (You may bring a chair for the painted box grass area.)

Middle School Soccer

~Sit in the painted areas. Please bring your own chairs.

Procedures for away events will be determined by the host school.  Once we receive that information we will pass it along to you.

Thank you,

Mr. James Foy

May 4, 2020

“Following today’s announcement by Governor Murphy, the NJSIAA has officially canceled New Jersey’s 2020 high school spring sports season.  This decision was not made lightly and we are disappointed for the thousands of New Jersey student-athletes who will be unable to compete this spring. While we remained hopeful to the end, and left open every possibility, competition simply is not feasible given the circumstances.

“The last few weeks have been heartbreaking on many levels, from the tragic loss of life, to thousands battling the virus, to millions who have suffered emotional and economic loss.  It’s been a harrowing time for everyone, and we know our student-athletes are extremely disappointed. That said, these unfortunate circumstances may have put an intriguing challenge in the path of our young people. As New Jersey’s own Vince Lombardi once said, “It's not whether you get knocked down, it's whether you get up. “  We’re confident all our kids will get back up and stand tall.

“The NJSIAA will continue developing plans for the potential restarting of scholastic sports during the fall season. Additional information related both to the summer recess and fall will be shared at a later date.”
